GenAI Capture is a browser extension for taking a screenshot of a web page and annotating it. It runs entirely inside your browser.

What we collect

Nothing. GenAI Capture does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. It has no server and no backend. Your screenshots and annotations never leave your device.

How it works

• When you activate the extension, it takes a picture of the tab you are currently viewing and lets you draw on it.
• Everything — the capture, your annotations, and the final image — stays in your browser’s memory.
• When you choose Copy or Save, the image is placed on your clipboard or downloaded to your computer by you. It is never uploaded anywhere.

Permissions we ask for, and why

• Access to the sites you visit (host permission) — needed only to draw the capture & annotation overlay on the page you choose to capture, at the moment you activate the tool. The extension reads the page’s rendered image locally to make the screenshot; it does not read the page’s content and does not send it anywhere.
• activeTab / tabs — to capture an image of the visible tab.
• scripting — to inject the capture & annotation overlay into the current page.

What we don’t do

• No accounts, no sign-in.
• No advertising, no analytics, no tracking.
• No data is sold, shared, or transmitted to us or any third party.
